We LOVE seeing our students accomplish their goals!
We've had everything from student being able to perform at Big Beats one of a kind music showcase, student perform at local venues and community events. Many of our students have gone on to become music majors, or just play for fun. We also had a few students who have gone on to perform with major acts such as Steven Tyler of Aerosmith.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Big Beat Music has 15 teachers on staff. Every teachers main process & purpose is "To instill a passion for playing music on a conscious and subconscious level for every aspiring students. Keeping a positive vision and happy musical experiences in sight throughout their lives." Joe Nevolo (Director)
Our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal needs and goals.
If you enroll here in lessons, we will work with you to make a plan that will fit your needs and musical preferences. At the first lesson the teacher will ask you your favorite type of music, and set goals to accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for yourself or your child.
We teach all styles from rock, pop, jazz, country, blues and classical!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our teachers possess a college degree in music at schools as well as being a performing professional musician. However no matter how much education our teachers possess a main ingredient we require of our teachers is their character and desire to help their students in a fun and educational environment.
How did you get started teaching?
The Musical Director, Joe Nevolo, started teaching at the early age of 15 years old in a local music store. The drum instructor that was traveling down from New York City to teache Joe could no longer instruct so he recommended Joe since he was one of his best students.
What types of students have you worked with?
Joe has personally taught all levels of students from beginners through advanced. Students have traveled to take lessons from him as far as Harrisbury PA, Delaware, NYC, Hartford Connecticut.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
"A recent parent who told me how much of an influence I was on their child and how he was headed in a bad direction in life and that I made such a positive influence and helped steer him in a positive direction. I know God put me here to help people discover the joy of music." Joe Nevolo, Musical Director
