I’ve taught students of all ages from 10 to 75. I can tech a student to read music or just play chords. I myself have been playing guitar for 50 years. I took lessons for 5 years.
Passing on the knowledge of music to another person is something they will carry with them for life.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Contact by phone, find out exactly what the student has in mind. Put together the lesson plan for each individual student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Study guitar for 6 years.
How did you get started teaching?
Played in bands for 20 years. Decided to share my knowledge of guitar with others so they also would have the enjoyment I've had for most of my life. Been teaching for at least 40 years now !
What types of students have you worked with?
I've taugh all age groups from 10 to 75... I've taught many different levels of students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I attended the 50th Anniversary of the Woodstock festival at the original site.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be prepared to practice and not understand a lot of what your being taught in the beginning but know that in due time it will all fall together !
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They need to know if they want to learn to read music or just play chords and learn songs. The amount of time they'll need to set aside for practice each day and the type of guitar they'll need to purchase if they don't have one already.
