About
I have been teaching over 20 years. I'm also a music therapist. I'm very patient and have a lot of experience working with special needs students and adapting lessons to the individual needs of the students. I have a masters degree in music therapy from New York University and have also played professionally and have recently performed at the Bitter End as part of the NYC Songwriters Collective. I've recorded a CD 'Soul Harvest' which can be found on most of the online streaming services.
I love playing the guitar and sharing the knowledge I've gained as a guitarist and performer. I like the freedom of being my own boss and that I can determine my own schedule.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find that lessons work best when they can be a collaborative experience for myself and the student. We usually begin by discussing the students' musical interests as well as their musical background and if they've had any previous
experience playing the guitar. If they have had experience playing the guitar I will usually ask them to play a piece of music of their choice in order to give me an idea of what their skill level is. Based on this initial interview I determine the the curriculum and approach.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied the guitar for over 30 years with private teachers as well with the New York Jazz Academy. I have a Masters degree from New York University in Music Therapy. I also have a lot of experience performing solo as well as with a band in New York City nightclubs.
in Music Therapy.
