New York Music Center / New York City Piano Academy (NYMC–NYCPA) provides comprehensive music education in New York, NY, with instruction available in Midtown Manhattan studios, online, or in-home. The school serves students of all ages and levels, from beginners and adult amateurs to advanced students and professional performers.
Programs include private lessons in piano; strings (violin, viola, cello); guitar; voice; flute; and clarinet, along with dance and musical theatre training. Structured pathways cover the Full Music Program; Instrument or Vocal Performance tracks; Intensive and Advanced Student programs; Music Theory; Music Composition; and Contemporary Music Writing & Production. Students take part in masterclasses and group theory classes and can prepare for NYSSMA and ABRSM examinations.
NYMC–NYCPA offers regular performance opportunities, including honors recitals at venues such as Steinway Hall, and international experiences through the Barcelona Piano Academy and other opportunities abroad. The academy provides dedicated pathways for adult amateurs tailored to individual goals. The organization is led by President and Artistic Director María Manzano, supported by a leadership team focused on program quality and student success.
