Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In 2003 I received my BFA in jazz performance from CCNY. There I studied with greats and legends such as Ron Carter, John Patitucci, Wayne Krantz and Kenny Wessel. Since then I have performed extensively in original rock, hip-hop, jazz and fusion bands as well as top 40 club date/wedding bands.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $60 an hour for lessons in my studio. There is a minimum fee of $10 for in-home lessons.
How did you get started teaching?
As a high school student I would show friends that were interested in learning guitar what I had learned. Realizing I was adept at having patience, transferring knowledge and understanding what is needed to help a student overcome hurdles, I decided this was a good way to make extra money through college. I've been doing it ever since..
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students of all types. Every age group from 5 years old to folks in their 70's, as well as every skill level from beginner to advanced.
