Passionate Music Lessons
About
Hello! I am a current Music Education student at NYU wanting to share the joy of learning music! I have been playing violin for 12 years and have participated in youth symphonies, music festivals, professional gigs, as well as being the concertmaster of my high school orchestra for two years. I fell in love with teaching and it's a joy to see my students progress. I have experience teaching violin students in elementary and middle school as well as beginning piano players. I follow a mix of Suzuki training as well as the basics from Essential Elements books for beginning players. For string players I employ teachings from Mimi Zweig, a famous violin pedagogue. But my main focus is that my students have fun and learn to love music for all of its expressive qualities. I look forward to hearing from you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, it is important to establish why my students want to learn music in the first place because that helps create a center for why we do what we do. I like to see what kind of experience they have just by having them play whatever they can. If it is a brand new student, that's ok too! We will go over the parts of the instrument and learn about how to make sound which is a very exciting process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a Music Education student at New York University and I have 4 years experience teaching private lessons to middle and elementary schoolers
