About

Hi, I'm a singer/songwriter from Saratoga Springs NY. I love teaching new students to learn how to approach the guitar so that it remains fun and interesting. I try to get my students playing music as soon as possible, and encourage songwriting as I believe everyone has creativity in them. I will tailor my lessons with you to your particular interests, however, so no pressure.

I love watching my students grow as musicians. I am really not a " big ego" person, and try to make my students feel comfortable with the learning process.

    Frequently asked questions

I like to meet my student where they are at... my teaching process depends on their goals, and their experience. For instance, if a student wants to perform, I would approach a lesson differently than a student who just wants to entertain themselves. We would come up with a lesson plan in the beginning, and build on it as we develop a relationship. I can serve as a mentor, cheerleader and "teacher" depending on the student's needs.

I am primarily a self taught guitarist. I picked up the instrument when I was 14 and have been playing ever since. I studied performance At Schenectady Community College In their Classical Guitar program, and studied in Boston at Berklee College of Music's summer program.
