CSPA is upper Westchester’s largest music school with locations in Croton, Pleasantville and Mohegan Lake. Our staff of over 25 specialists provide private lessons in all instruments and voice at all levels: beginners to pre-professional. The owners care about every student and the personal attention you get is important to your musical growth and to becoming a strong musician. Recitals are 2X a year for those that are ready. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our new students are introduced to their teacher by having one lesson. If it works out and there is a good relationship, the students opts to continue with that teacher. Every lesson contains a bit of theory, history, technique, improvisation and lots of drill and musical understanding.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of the teachers at The Cortlandt School of Perrforming Arts are highly qualified. They have gone to great places of musical study - Many of our degreed teachers have a K-12 degree in Music Education or are professional performers.
