Hello. I've been a private music instructor focusing on piano instruction consistently for the last 20 years. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I've recently begun offering remote instruction and I've had great success with it. I teach children and adults from beginner to advanced. My strength as a music instructor is in my ability to quickly assess the strengths and weaknesses of my students. Every student processes information differently and I believe in deciphering how each student learns best and catering my style to that individual students' needs. I teach sight reading, music theory, technique, ear training, composition and improvisation and although I believe proper technique and music theory are of upmost importance, I also believe in making the experience as enjoayable as possible and will teach songs that the student wants to learn as long as he/she is ready and capable. I am a professional musician and have experience as an educator, performer, song writer and producer. I am well versed in all music styles including Classical, Pop, Rock, Jazz, etc.
I enjoy making personal connections and inspiring my students to learn in a positive, encouraging environment. My goal for every student is to give them the skills to play an instrument that will give them joy and a sense of accomplishment for years to come.
