I am a certified NY State teacher with 21 years of teaching experience in guitar and voice as well as performance and music theory. I am steeped in the rich traditions of music from the 1960’s and 70’s, with a love of all good music. From the most melodic bossa nova, to crunchy folk rock, to the more aggressive progressive rock. Each student is an individual with unique goals and talents. My goal is make sure you meet your goal.

Adam has played a major part in my growth as a musician and performer. His years of experience as a singer-songwriter, guitarist, composer, performer, and teacher, along with his contagious love of the musicians life (and music itself) make our sessions vibrantly alive, fun, and enriching. One thing I greatly appreciate is that he doesnt approach his teaching in a one-size-fits-all way. He really pays attention to who each student is as a person, what their goals are, and where they are musically, and that brings out the best in everyone. No matter what mood Im in when I go for my session with Adam, when I leave Im on a high. I cant recommend Adam highly enough. (Did I mention that hes also a mensch?)

Adam Hart is a great music and guitar teacher and wonderful person with whom to study music. He is an enormously skilled guitarist, vocalist and all around musician who conveys his knowledge of technique, performance and theory clearly and with incredible enthusiasm and patience.
