I’ve been taking guitar lessons from Gary for years. He’s the best guitar teacher I’ve ever had. He is a very kind and super guy. His knowledge is deep and helpful. He’s easygoing and will let you pick what you want to learn. He teaches a variety of genres. My guitar playing has advanced under his tutelage. His fees are very reasonable. I would strongly recommend him as your guitar teacher.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I sit down with new prospects and ask them ,if this is something they really want ? What are your goals and how long do you think you may need to learn . I have them hold a guitar while we interview . I typically have them learn a few chords right away if they are willing .

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I studied with a guitar teacher at Hauer music when I was in my teens . Othet than that ,I have learned on my own .

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

1HR for adults is $25.00dollars . First lesson or consultation is the same for adults . With children,it varies . I would rather work close to home . To travel would cost extra money that I would have to charge to the students .

How did you get started teaching?

I had people make request's that I teach them guitar . Over the years my student base increased . Some have moved on to other things and some are still with me . Some are seasonal .

What types of students have you worked with?

Senior's . Teenagers . People wit autism and some wknd warriors .

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Look for someone flexible and ask them questions . Lots of questions .

Will you be patient while helping me to learn . I'm a on the right path .
