About
My teaching approach: I've been playing guitar for 34 years and performing for 30 years. My approach to teaching is based upon the individual's needs and desires and geared towards guiding the students to express themselves on their instrument. Fun is a primary focus in order to motivate the student to play as much as possible outside the lesson and develop a deep relationship with their instrument. My guitar lessons take place in: the teacher's studio. Soringhart Studios in West Eugene, Oregon. UPDATE: Due to the corona virus lockdown, lessons are via video chat platforms until the restrictions ease up. Guitar Techniques: Guidance In Equipment Selection, Recording and Production, Song Writing, Scales and Exercises, Music Theory, Lead guitar, Rhythm guitar, Open tuning, Fingerstyle, Vocal Accompaniment, Performance, Jamming Skills

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I offer a free half hour introductory lesson, so that the prospective student can see how I work and determine if I'm the right teacher for them. Once they sign up (no obligation for any particular number of lessons), it is an hour lesson, generally once a week, and is geared towards the students goals and desires. We want to make it fun and exciting!
