Keaton's knowledge of music theory and chord structure was vital to my development as a guitar player. Not only that, but his ability to adapt to my style made me feel a lot more comfortable as I progressed to higher levels of difficulty. He is a very down to earth and easy going guy to talk to, which also helped to reduce the anxiety of playing in front of a more experienced musician. Without his guidance and constructive criticism, I would not be nearly as advanced of a guitar player as I am today.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to figure out what my students want to learn before I start designing my lesson plan. This helps the lessons to be more fun and productive.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have taken college level courses in Music Theory and Composition. Have also played in multiple bands and had multiple students over the last 5-10 years.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My pricing starts at 30 dollars for a half-hour session. Pricing is always totally negotiable

How did you get started teaching?

I got started teaching friends and family in highschool and college.

What types of students have you worked with?

I'm used to working with students 15 years and up, but I am open to working with anyone, including kids.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Figure out what you're looking to get from guitar lessons and find the instructor who you think is going to help you the most!
