About this pro

I love all kinds of music.  I have been teaching the piano for over 30 years.  I started when I was five and finished in college.  I have been in worship bands and played from reading classical/tradtional music  to chord charts.  I was offered a record contract in my younger years.  I write and perform.  Music is endless and I love to ask my students what their dream are and help them find it.

My experience is vast and each student gets all that my life has taught me.

Currently I am the music director of a church, I teach piano and guitar and I am one of a very few that play at the Pittock Mansion in Portland for their season schedules. Just to name a few.

My Skills:  Piano Teaching, playing the organ, playing the guitar, singing, voice coaching, worship bands in churches in California, Music Director at manel Luthern Church in Cornelius, special event music, leading worship. memory care music, special events at Pittock Mansion, writing original music, performing and accompanying others and/or myself

When I'm teaching I love to watch the student connect to the music they love.

In church I love to help the congregation experience what they love about their traditions in music.

When I play at events I love it when someone stops and are moved by the music that I'm playing.

In memory care I love it when the client remembers words and music.

When I'm alone I feel connected to something far bigger than myself.

When I write I love to express what is deep inside of myself.

Teaching allows me to share my life in music

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I love to meet face to face or facetime to facetime.  It is important to see if we both like each other.  I want to like you as much as I want you to like me.  I do this at no charge and find out what the goal and desire is.  Then if it is a fit I recommend two months as a trial period.
