Babak Mahbaei Piano & Music Studio – Portland, Oregon
Babak Mahbaei is a passionate and highly experienced Piano & Music Educator with a Bachelor’s degree in Music and more than 15 years of professional teaching experience. Based in the Portland area, he has taught hundreds of students through established music schools including Golden Key School of Piano (2021–2023), Eliason School of Music (2018–2021), and Guitar Center Studios (2018–2019).
Babak offers private and group piano and guitar lessons for students aged 5 to adult, from absolute beginners to advanced levels. His teaching covers classical, contemporary, and jazz styles, with a strong focus on ABRSM exam preparation, recital performance, and competition pieces. Every lesson is individualized to match the student’s goals, learning style, and musical interests, creating a supportive and motivating environment—especially for international and multicultural students.
In addition to his teaching credentials, Babak is an active performer with over 50 live piano and guitar performances. He also holds a Jazz-Guitar Performance Certificate from Komitas State Conservatory. His deep knowledge of both classical piano pedagogy and jazz improvisation allows him to guide students toward well-rounded musicianship.
