About

If you want to confidently play your favorite songs and have the time of your life doing it, I'm the right instructor for you.

I specialize in rock and top 40 hits (pop, r&b, alternative) and have been helping people play guitar for over 8 years now.

Check out one of my students who now is playing live shows weekly: @samnestlermusic

Throughout my music career, I've realized the traditional teaching method is the main reason people end up quitting.

Most instructors will teach you all the basics and then when you're ready, you can start to learn the songs you like..

But I do it differently.

The reality is that with the right guidance, you can go directly into the most fun part - jamming out to your favorite songs.

---

The reason this has worked so well:

-You'll want to pick up your guitar and play over and over again because each time you're

-having fun

-and getting better each time you play.

With my technique and properly set goals, you can grow your skills quickly and reduce the amount of time and energy spent on inefficient practicing.

My students actually leave my lessons excited to keep learning - while other instructors leave their students feeling like they have homework to do. (and that's why most guitar players end up quitting)

My lessons:

-I’m more than a teacher - I'll be your personal guitar coach. That means 24/7 communication for feedback and advice. You truly can't get that anywhere else! (seriously, tell me if you find it!)

-I’ll send a guide for each lesson so you can measure progress & waste no time.

-100% refund if the first lesson doesn't work out. I know choosing an instructor is a big decision, so I take the risk away for you.

Here's one of my blogs, if you want to read more about my teaching style:

My favorite part is proving to people what they are really capable of. Watching my students go from complete beginner to confidently identifying as a guitar player is so gratifying.

Everyone starts as a beginner!

Frequently asked questions

The best way to reach your goals, is to define them. My lessons are very personalized - For our first lesson, I'll figure out what type of music you're into and what your goals are.

I received a Minor in music at NCSU where I studied music theory & jazz. I've been involved in many different projects & genres of music- live performance, studio recording,

In high school and college I was always forming bands and teaching friends how to play instruments.. I realized I REALLY enjoyed showing my friends that they can do it too.

I've worked with all ages and I specialize in rock, alternative, and pop music.

I'm very experienced with reggae and metal as well - I just don't advertise around these areas because they are less common, meaning less students.

There are thousands of instructors teaching in the same traditional methods. Your time is an investment - and you want to get the most out of it.

Why learn at the same pace as everyone else? Make sure that the style of lessons you're signing up for is something that keeps you excited, rather than putting off practice.
