Don't let the old teaching methods tire you out.

Let's forget about practicing or memorizing the traditional things that "all musicians need to know" and go straight to accomplishing your personal goals.

I'll guide you as we go directly into playing along with your favorite songs, and you'll see why my style is so much more engaging.

Some of my principles are:

1) Most songs are based on an easy-to-follow formula.

2) Learning an instrument is directly related to muscle memory.

Once you've learned my approach, you'll be able to learn songs on your own time and confidently play along with music or other musicians.

And with my method, I guarantee you can do it much quicker than your average student taking traditional lessons.

My lessons:

-I’m more than a teacher - I'll be your personal drum coach. That means 24/7 communication for feedback and advice. You can't get that anywhere else!

-I’ll send a guide for each lesson so you can measure progress & waste no time.

-100% refund if the first lesson doesn't work out. I know choosing an instructor is a big decision, so I take the risk away for you.

I love not only sharing the experience of music, but proving to people what they are really capable of. Everyone starts as a beginner, but it's up to you how you learn.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

The best way to reach your goals, is to define them. My lessons are very personalized - For our first lesson, I'll figure out what type of music you're into and exactly what you're strengths are. From there, I'll figure out how to get you playing what you want to play.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I received a Minor in music at NCSU where I studied music theory & jazz. I've been involved in many different projects & genres of music- live performance, studio recording,

How did you get started teaching?

I learned how to play instruments alongside others and found myself truly enjoying teaching my friends. I find it to be a really great way to play music with others

What types of students have you worked with?

From young children to adults, from beginners to experienced musicians. I've taught many types of music from reggae, children's tunes, metal, John Mayer finger style.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

There are thousands of instructors teaching in the same traditional methods. Your time is an investment - and you want to get the most out of it.

Why learn at the same pace as everyone else? Make sure that the style of lessons you're signing up for is something that keeps you excited, rather than putting off practice.
