What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I begin working with a new student. First, I will ask the student what their goals are, as well as what music they like. This allows me to come up with lessons that will constantly introduce new topics to my students through the songs they enjoy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Contemporary Writing and Production from Berklee College of Music. I have been teaching and composing professionally since graduation in December of 2020.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $45 per hour lesson , $35 per 45 minute lesson, and $25 per 30 minute.
How did you get started teaching?
I was very determined to start my career in music as soon as I graduated from college. Teaching music has been the most fulfilling opportunity I have ever had. It also allows me to be my own boss, giving me the freedom to pursue all of my musical goals.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages, and experience levels.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Try and find a teacher that is genuinely excited to be teaching music. An enthusiastic teacher will spend more time making sure their students truly understand the concepts they are being taught.
