Ben Cole Guitar

Hello and welcome, I'm Ben Cole! If you've been wanting to improve your skills on guitar or just don't know where to start, then look no further. Whether you're looking to take your skills to the pro level or just starting on guitar, I'm here to help! I've been playing guitar for 15+ years and studied at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, California. I've played in numerous bands over the years, such as the rock bands Audiophobia and Wild Charge, with performances all over the West Coast and Japan. Also, I've worked a considerable amount doing studio work, recording guitar for different bands. I believe in using knowledge from these real life experiences to help show students how to apply techniques they've learned in real world settings. I find that this helps reenforce what the student's learned. For the first lesson, I like to ask the student what their interests and goals are and see where their skill level and theory knowledge are at. I then shape lessons based around what the student wants to learn, providing practice regimens that will most effectively help the student. I also teach music theory alongside guitar practice so the student understands what they're playing and how to apply different skills in real environments. I like to follow what the student wants to learn, I find this more than anything else creates a healthy learning environment and students absorb the material easier. Being sure that students have fun and enjoy the lessons are what matter most to me, I love playing guitar and love sharing that knowledge with other people.
