Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Depending on the existing knowledge of the student I can start as basic as first notes and rhythms, learning to read music, the first few songs, technique, advanced songs, advanced technique. Tempo will be stressed during all lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
An education from MTSU in Music Composition and Theory with a focus on Classical Guitar.
Invovled in a variety of bands from Classical Ensembles, Bluegrass, Folk and Rock n’ Roll.
I also run a small music management company with acts across the nation.

How did you get started teaching?
In my first bluegrass band we would switch instruments and were able to teach each other to play and play well. From there I’ve taught a variety of other students, and band members, how to play a large variety of instruments and styles.
What types of students have you worked with?
People all over America. I can teach over 10 instruments and have learned over 20.
