All levels are welcome, from total beginners, hobbyists, and those who wish to pursue careers as professional musicians.
I genuinely love to teach guitar. I love to teach music. The best part is seeing it change people's lives right before my eyes. I'm proud to say that many of my students have had their lives improve significantly as a result of studying guitar and music with me. It is a truly humbling experience to be able to share the gift of music with students, and watch them grow week after week, month after month, and year after year.

How did you get started teaching?
I first started teaching in high school. I was about 15 years old when I started teaching my first private lessons to my fellow high school classmates. After graduating from Berklee I started teaching full time and have done so ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
All levels, from total beginner to seasoned pros. I've had students everywhere from age 5-80. Although I generally have an age cutoff around 8 years old, depending on the maturity of the student.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently had a former student take a few lessons with me online via Zoom. She had studied with me for 5 years and then went on to Graduate from Berklee with a bachelors degree in music. She recently went on to graduate with a Masters degree from Berklee. It was awesome to see how far she has come since starting lessons with me when she was a kid. She is now a seasoned pro with the potential and tools for a successful career in music.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Even though you technically don't have to go to music school to become a great musician, it is generally a wise decision to seek out an instructor that has a formal education.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about what your goals are for the long term. Don't be afraid to DREAM BIG. In fact, if you are reading this, i highly encourage you to DREAM BIG! But whatever your goals may be, even if to purely play as a hobby and be able to strum a little bit around the campfire, articulate your goals to your prospective teacher and see if they think they are the right fit for you.
