Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:

we discuss with the student their previous guitar lessons and or other instrument experience. we try to develop a good idea of their preferred direction of style, and then we proceed with what exactly the student wants out of the lesson. we are very adamant that the student is the boss, we have the tools to bring up a beginner musician to become a professional, but it is up to the student to how far they want to progress and retain.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:

We charge one flat rate of $20/half hour and $30/hour. we have planned lessons from a beginner level up to a professional level. we will teach everything from techniques like pinch harmonics, natural harmonics, harmony harmonics, tapping techniques, hammer ons and pull offs, trills, sweep picking, alternate picking to music theory starting with the notes on the fret board and full steps and half steps, progressing to pentatonic scales and then filling those pentatonic scales with the notes in relation such as the Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Dorian, Aeolian, Locrian and Ionian scales. If you are interested for your child or for yourself...

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:

we are willing to teach anyone that is not only willing to learn but passionate about music and their instrument. we believe that a good musician should be rounded, a love for the feeling in all styles is what will make one specific style stand out. a lead guitarist pertains to be a very sensitive and emotional personality, we can teach you scales but to feel a song is what makes a good solo. a rhythm guitarist is equally important, we have met a lot of guitarists that can create good emotion through riffs/chord progressions that they could not solo too. though anyone is capable of either
