Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$50 per hour lesson. $25/ half hour. Group lessons split fee. 24 hour notice on cancelation. Attempts to make up lessons prefered, when absence is legitimate.
How did you get started teaching?
Taught underclass students in college. Started out of a music store.
What types of students have you worked with?
All kinds. Fast paced, slow paced. Experienced with autistic students. Beginners to advanced.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Grrrlz Rock month, November 2017 and all other years. Kidz Rock May 2017. Both events support women and youth perfermamces.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they can teach the technical side and theoretical side of music. Learn music, not just songs.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Schedule, cost, location, how to purchase and instrument.
