Andy is a talented musician who has a passion for both playing and teaching music. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient. He teaches within your abilities and stresses accomplishments, rather than, shortcomings. He doesnt judge or criticize, he coaches and mentors. Most importantly, he makes learning enjoyable and is fun to be with.
Ive been taking guitar lessons with Andy for over two years. I started at age 70 with no musical background or training. The overall experience continues to be mentally challenging and rewarding.

I like the way Andy breaks the lesson into parts. Accuracy, timing, and then Technique. He gives several examples and has patience to allow me to get the ideas into my playing. I appreciate that. He has strong theory background and performance skills that support his training technique.

He explains musical concepts well and takes the time to answer my questions. He is also very diverse in what instrument he can play. Because of his broad knowledge base he is able to teach the music that I am most interested in
