Joe Hand Boxing Gym

The Joe Hand Boxing Gym and Computer Lab is a unique place that not only trains children’s bodies, but their minds as well. The gym offers a free boxing program for children ages 8 to 17, plus a weekly kickboxing class for young girls, called “Float Like a Butterfly,” that not only teaches various exercises but also builds their self-confidence. The gym also hosts free Community Fitness Days that attract many residents, young and old, who learn the importance of an active lifestyle.

It has always been the philosophy of Joe Hand Promotions to support many causes and organizations, such as the Special Olympics, Children's Miracle Network Telethon and scholarship funds at local Philadelphia-area high schools, in order to make a difference in the community. Joe Hand, Sr. received the prestigious Wanamaker Community Service Award in 2002 because of his philanthropy.
