About
My teaching approach:
I have been playing guitar for more than 15 years and have been teaching for 5 years. I play a Martin acoustic guitar, American Fender Stratocaster, and a Fender Jazz Precision bass guitar. For my electric guitar I use a Peavey 30 watt tube amp, gives me an older warm sounding, Blues/Classic rock sound that I personally love. Besides using my guitar and knowledge of music and the instrument, I also use tools such as the internet and visual aids such as my tablet and printed papers to help the students learn. Because everyone learns in a different way.
My influences are:
my first major influence for guitar was (of course me being a lefty) Jimi Hendrix. Slash from GNR is also another one of my inspirations. Aside from those two, Alman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Blind Melon, Nirvana. Too many to name them all.
My guitar lessons take place in:

All day everyday. Mon-Fri until 11pm

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:
I ask the student their experience level. If they have any experience I ask them to show me what they already know and go from there.
A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:
Not only will you learn how to play the instrument, but you will also learn how to care for your instrument. On top of that I like to make sure my students have an understanding of music theory, because it's important to know why the song your playing sounds good, and how to create your own songs.
The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:
I just love teaching music. My ideal student would just be anyone who loved learning as much as I love teaching.
