Hello future students!

I’ve been teaching the guitar to kids and adults for over 20 years, and I’m just as excited today as when I first started!

My musical journey began at the age of 12, when my mother gifted me my first guitar. At 14, I joined the Escola de Música de Brasília, a respected music conservatory in my hometown (Brasília, Brasil). Later, I went to college for music education and moved to the US to study Jazz Performance at the University of Louisville.

Having studied a diverse range of styles - classical, jazz, Brazilian music, pop, rock - I'm comfortable teaching most genres.

I’m very sensitive to each student’s learning style and goals. My aim is to facilitate your journey and meet your needs to the best of my ability.

Very knowledgeable and does a great job of explaining things in a simple way that makes sense. I also love that I started learning songs right away and the songs were used to teach the basics rather than spending months learning all the basics with no ability to put it all together.

Never once has she made me feel dumb or silly for messing up, in fact she talks me down when Im being hard on myself!

Leticia is a fantastic and dedicated teacher. She is very patient, gives good cues to help learn guitar. Provides good music theory background for what we are learning and is overall very knowledgeable. She provides dedicated/custom learning materials for each lesson or what to practice.
