Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start by getting to know my student's goals and how they best learn on their chosen instrument and see how we can accomplish those goals together. I also like to focus on making learning fun, and making the playing of the instrument into something sustainable for my students.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's in Professional Music from the Berklee College of Music with focus on Performance, Music Business, and American Roots music and a minor in American Roots Music.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is as follows, 65$ per hour, 35$ for 30 minutes, 50$ for 45 minutes
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching at the Ashokan Music and Dance camps at the age of 17 alongside incredible musicians who would soon be my instructors at Berklee. I developed a love for helping people experience music, and I've taught ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students as young as 3 and as old as 80, and have worked extensively with students that have learning differences.
