Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I try to find out what a new student is passionate about. I feel that there are fundamental lessons to be learned throughout ones musical studies, but that those can be geared towards the student's already existing interests.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Almost 25 years experience in all, focusing on guitar, piano, voice, as well as other stringed instruments.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My hourly rate is negotiable, based on travel, and students/parents budget. I try to be flexible.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching in 2003, and loved transferring my knowledge to others, and watching them grow as artists.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a 4 year old piano student, and a 65 year old blind bass student, and everything in between. I currently have a blind student on my roster for vocals, piano, and songwriting that is excelling wonderfully.
