She is very patient and works well with children
Overall, I love Sue Kloss Thanks
Great teacher! Her strong expertise & experience, along with warm, welcoming encouragement, make learning fun.
Ms. Kloss is not only a classically trained musician, but she seems to love kids as much as she does music. Speaking to them at their level, Ms. Kloss seems to inspire all the kids she teaches. My 11 year old son was mesmerized by her within minutes of meeting, and hasn't wanted to miss a single lesson for any reason. I have never seen him so engaged as when on the piano bench with his teacher, who is teaching him to love music as much as she does.
The first lesson is to ascertain the student's abilities, skill level and requirements. After that, in a typical lesson, voice students will do 15 minutes of vocalises, 5 minutes of sight reading and rhythm work, and 10 minutes working on a song and presentation skills. Piano students do 5 minutes of Hanon exercises, 10 minutes of scales, arpeggios and cadences, 10 minutes on a song, and 5 minutes of theory.
