About
I hold a Master's degree in Theology and a doctorate in Comparative Relgion and Philosophy from the University of Chicago Divinity School. My interest in Yoga stemmed from my own loss of my parents and learning how to deal with grief.
I have 25 years of experience as a Yoga Teacher; I have designed Yoga Classes and taught all around the country. I am the author of Yiddish Yoga: Ruthie's Adventures in Love, Loss and the Lotus Position and a poet, playwright and performer. I teach Yoga Therapeutics to medical students at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.
I love helping my Yoga students begin a yoga practice to help with stress, heart disease, diabetes, injuries, inflexibility, lower back pain and arthritis. I have helped many people lead a healthier, more balanced life through breathing techniques, mindfullness and yoga postures. I think laughter is the best medicine and we need to slow down, get on the yoga mat and breathe.
You can learn more about my background as a writer, performer and yoga teacher on my web site: www.Lisa-Grunberger.com
