Good day to y’all! I’ve been passionate about guitar since I was 15 and mostly was self taught. Yet, u managed to win a Best in Shred contest in Sarasota, FL in 2010 where my judge was Scotti Hill from Skid Row band! Some of my students now play in successful bands. Most of music teachers and schools were intimidating to me as a teen and seemed to kill most of the fun that should be brought by playing an instrument. So I have an unorthodox approach when teaching guitar: instead of tons of confusing theory, we will start actually handling the instrument and playing it from day one! Many of famous guitarists were self taught and some have zero formal education!
