Hi - I'm a Guitar Instructor specializing in live performance and songwriting techniques. I've recorded, toured, and written for classic Rock and Country acts like Every Mothers' Son, Rick Nelson & The Stone Canyon Band, Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young, Carly Simon, Bread, and many others. I've been a songwriting mentor for organizations like Nashville Songwriter's Assoc. Int'l., and done my "Make Your Guitar Your Co-Writer" and "Songwriting in 3-D" workshops for Sweetwater Music, Truefire Online, and National guitar Workshops. My goal is to help you "Make Your Guitar Sound Like A Whole Band", make your live performance or new song sound like a record!
I use simple techniques from my "LICKTIONARY - The Songwriter's Guide To GREAT GUITAR" DVD to help you write and arrange new songs, or just have fun playing your favorite Classic Rock, Country, Blues, or Folk tunes. I use songs from classic genres in my lessons, so you're having having fun playing while you learn!
I also do mentoring and song evaluations for songwriters who want to take their songs to a higher level.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a pro musician, songwriter and performing artist who never took a lesson - learned by listening to the music I loved and dedicating myself to my craft. That road led me to Top Ten records, playing Carnagie Hall in NYC, The Astrodome in Dallas, and a lifetime of working with great musicians.

$50 per hr. (no extra charge if we go a little over), $85 for a 2 hr. block.
