About this pro

My teaching approach: I do NOT teach based on a prefabricated lesson plan to just force upon all students. Instead, I tailor each lesson to each student at their pace, to match their style, learning ability, goals, and abilities. I teach you what YOU want to learn, keep it fun, and most importantly teach you how to play well with others in a group / band situation. You will also learn about tone, gear, technique. My guitar lessons take place in: Either locationGuitar Lessons with me take place in the following areas: I am based out of Costa Mesa / Newport area, but can discuss other locations.Guitar Techniques: Lead guitar, Rhythm guitar, Open tuning, Fingerpicking, Slide Guitar, Vocal Accompaniment, Performance, Improvisation, Jamming Skills, Music Theory, Scales and Exercises, Song Writing, Recording and Production, Guidance In Equipment Selection

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I make a professional living as an internationally touring bassist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, session musician, studio owner, etc.  Music that I have written, recorded, and performed on has been heard on countless Television shows, radio stations, film & movie scores, late night TV broadcasts, etc.  You may have heard my work in Jamestown Revival (Universal Republic) the California EP, Utah, The Education of a Wandering Man, as seen on the Conan O'Brien show (twice), Craig Ferguson (twice), Heart of Dixie, The Voice (with Tony Lucca).  Have performed nearly every square inch of the US from small, medium, large, theaters, amphitheaters, stadiums, from the Greek Theater to the Ryman Auditorium to Red Rocks, and everywhere in between including nearly all the major music festivals, including but not limited to ACL, Stagecoach, Coachella, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Bunburry, Bumbershoot, Wakarusa, SXSW, etc.

When I am not on the road, I perfer to hand pick a small select group of students to teach, with a real world and practical approach to the lessons.  I tend to tailor the lessons to each student, instead of spoon-feed a pre-determined lesson plan.
