About

Kathryn is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter currently residing in Nashville. Hailing from a small town in northern Missouri, she started her musical journey at the age of 7 with classical piano lessons and went on to also study guitar. Her passion for classic rock of the 60s and 70s led her to further her studies in music at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts founded by Sir Paul McCartney, where she graduated with her BA in 2021. She has performed and collaborated with artists across genres from London to Kansas City to Nashville. In teaching, Kathryn finds it very important to balance laying the discipline and technique learned in her classical background with the students’ musical interests and keeping lessons as fun as they are educational.
