I worked with Damian on a lesson today, I've never had a lesson with him but we've discussed stuff over text and whatnot. Oh man, I'm so glad I took a lesson. He showed me so many new ideas that I've never been shown before. He's even got stride piano down. That's tough. I'd recommend him to anyone looking to learn or expand their jazz knowledge.

Ms. Junghee is our piano teacher. We’ve had her for a little over a year, Of the five piano teachers we’ve had in the past through other music schools, she is the only person who cared to correct the basics of finger positions. She listens to my concerns and responds. I wish we had started with Ms. Junghee 3 and 1/2 years ago! That would have saved us a lot of effort trying to correct bad habits all the other teachers ignored. Ms. Junghee is so funny, patient and firm and positive all at the same time. She has many years of teaching piano to young children, and my children just love her and are happy to see her each week. That equates to my children feeling encouraged to their part, practice all week!! She is the most wonderful piano teacher in town IMO.

Junghee is incredible! My son was struggling in his high school beginning piano class. After a few lessons with Junghee his grade has significantly improved and he is enthusiastic about learning the piano!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We typically get to know the student by asking them a few questions first, as to gauge their experience level with music. After I get a sense of their background, I introduce them to various musical worksheets that help me identify their strengths and weaknesses such as reading, technical facility, and ear training. It may seem intimidating at first but I find that once we play through a few things together, the situation becomes much more comfortable and relaxed.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We are verified members of Music Teachers National Association and Texas Music Teachers Association
