Singing is a personal matter, so at Lori’s Voice Studio, I make it a priority to foster a relaxed, safe, and accepting environment for you to be your unique self. We get down to the root of your singing and performing needs to help you sound your best and feel confident in your own abilities and hard work. In addition to online voice lessons, I also teach singers how to accompany themselves on piano and/or ukulele. I help young singers find their voice by improving their mindset, vocal technique, and performance skills so they can confidently create the music they love. Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Music from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Music from Oklahoma City University. I studied Musical Theater, Classical Literature, Opera, and Piano.
What types of students have you worked with?
I mostly teach middle to high school ages. I help students who are interested in genres including musical theater, pop/contemporary, competitive singing, singer-songwriter, sight-reading, and more.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We recently had a coffeehouse performance. Four of my students have been studying voice with me for a few years now. We changed to an online format back in October, which was new for all of us! We came together in person for a pop-up concert a few weeks ago and they rocked it! 🎸
