I have been playing guitar for 30 years and a professional musician and studio session player for 20 years. I won the Louis Armstrong jazz award for excellence. I was playing advanced jazz band by the time I was 15. I’ve Played with or opened up for names such as Albert Collins Double Trouble,kid rock, Vanilla ice fabulous , Thunderbirds, I’ve headlined the original antones. Played just about every live club in Austin. For the past 10 years I’ve been working on trying to build a studio and I want to run my own studio and build amplifiers and build Guitar’s and and repair guitars so as you can see my life revolves around music and guitars. I have just built a studio in Jonestown Texas where I’ll be doing my lessons. I’m currently ranked number #4 as singer songwriter In Austin Texas. This is for reverb nation so obviously it’s not including all the singer songwriters in Austin but still not a bad position to be in.I take a different approach to teaching which has served me well and helpedmy students. I expect a lot but I also give a lot so I hope we can all work together and we can get you on the level that you want to be.
I live and breathe guitar and I love to teach and guitar just makes my soul feel whole and at peace and it helps me focus and it brings joy to people.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First of all get to know each other and making sure We’re comfortable working together find out the students knowledge but they know what they’re trying to play what kind of music they like. Find out what their background is really what I want to accomplish. we make an out line to accomplish that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
30 years playing experience four years jazz band two years of classical guitar 10 years has lead guitar for Unity church of the Hills my mother is the music director. So I’ve been immersed in music since I was born I have no affiliations with any church or religious organization I’m a spiritual being Who does not get involved with with religious or political issues especially with my students.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
First lesson is $35 And you only have to pay for one. If you decide to pay every lesson the price is $45per session.If you pay a month in advance they go to 30$ Per lesson. I do expect a commitment. I expect that because in today’s day and age people are really involved in their smart phones and their tablets and to get the attention and the dedication it takes to become a guitar player is a Commitment but if you decide to make that commitment I assure you that you will be rewarded because you will enjoy your time with the guitar what Itcan do for your confidence your life your well-being your state of mind. I understand how things can come up I will reschedule If you need to I just require 24 hours notice anything less If Charge half of the lessons price for a no-show
How did you get started teaching?
I practiced and practiced and practiced and played and played and played and one day somebody asked me to teach Them how to play I did and it was just a natural feeling. And people say that I’m a very patient person so I guess that’s what it takes I guess it’s because I really enjoy teaching I feel like passing on knowledge is very important and key
