Meeting is the first thing. I like to discuss your goals and what you want to accomplish with your music.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Set up at time to visit with the teacher prior to hiring to see if it is a good fit for you. Teaching styles vary. So, make sure you feel comfortable with your choice. It is always good to discuss goals and make sure you are both on the same page.
