Hi there! I’m Jake. Im new to Georgetown TX and I’m offering one on one beginner guitar lessons from our personal home studio to all ages but preferably about 8 or 9 being the youngest. I want to start by saying, as a father myself, nothing is more important to me than your safety and comfortability coming to my home. Parents are always welcome to sit in, and just outside the studio room is a couch with tv and lots of video games. So if a sibling needs to tag along we’ve got plenty of entertainment. I currently work another part time job and the availability I have listed is not at all set in stone and I can absolutely be flexible! I’ve been playing guitar for 13 years, with mainly a background in punk, grunge, alternative, metal and a little bit of country. currently play and record in a band, I have a degree in recording arts from mediatech institute and a love for music. I’m self taught which is why I think learning from me would be a different experience. Why? Because I won’t forget that it’s supposed to be fun and there are things I figured out later on in my journey to becoming an intermediate guitar player that would’ve been hugely beneficial to my progress had I learned it sooner and I’ll do my best to expedite that process for you so you can be on your way to playing your favorite songs, building muscle memory, learning some basic, theory, chords and notes, and of course having fun playing. I offer an intro/trial lesson for $60 and a monthly 4 lesson plan for 220 up front (55 per lesson). I believe that doing it more consistently builds progress faster and helps glue each lesson together. Something unique thing about learning with me is that once you make some progress, I have everything necessary to professionally record your playing along with a drum/instrumental track, so you can have your very own mp3 recording of your progress, and it’ll sound like a real song with a real band, so you have tangible evidence of your progress to show all your friends and family or just to enjoy yourself and stay excited about the process. I’ll have a general lesson plan but if there’s ever anything you need to focus on longer, than that’s what we’ll do. If you’d rather learn a song one day then we can do that too. If I don’t know the song we’ll learn it together! I’m still setting up my brand/website so I can advertise with some pictures! But for now I at least want to get this out there and get to teaching.
