Your Moment is Now Training is more than just a training experience. YMNT stands for what it means for your student athlete to learn to compete at the highest level in whatever sport they choose. YMNT believes that in order to compete at a high level in any athletic competition, an athlete must have the core abilities that we are here to teach and help your kids grow past and achieve anything they are willing to work hard for.
Our Training Philosophy:
Time will not be wasted
I will account for every second of your student/athlete’s hour long training session.
Everything will be organized and for a purpose
No Drill/Assignment will be done just to have a filler
The biggest enjoyment I get from training students/athletes is being able to learn their athletic goals and designing athlete-specific ways to get them to their destination.
There is nothing better than seeing the moment when a student/athlete grasps a concept and converts it to the academic/athletic arena.
Also, building trust with the student/athlete and the parent is enjoyable as well. Being able to build a rapport with the clients to the point where we are working together to ensure greatness and accomplishment is second to none.
My son really liked working with Coach Mike. He asked my son questions about what he thought was his strengths & weakness to build a foundation for skill building which I thought was important. He also gave me a clear assessment of what he planned for for my son & where he thought his talents were based on his assessment.
Coach Mike is BIGTIME. He understands what it takes to get faster and more importantly how to teach it.
On time, very efficient with getting in a full hour of training in field work, speed and footwork. Mixes up different training sessions to focus on actual players position training which has been very effective in helping my son improve his shill at his position. Very good at explaining the propose and benefit of each is the trainings being done. Coach Stephens is focused on quality of training being done and does not accept less than 100% at anytime during the training. He pushes and gets the most out of every session and every athelete.
1. Consult what areas are desired for improvement.
2. Ask for the athletic goals of the athlete.
3. Design a specific 1 hour long session that is fit for the athlete's goals.
4. Always make sure to track and log notes of each session for use in future sessions.

Began coaching in 2006 under Coach Rodney Webb at Royce City Middle School.
6th-12th Grade School Athletes.
I have worked with boys and girls ages 12-18.
Being able to watch two of my athletes complete at the Division I collegiate level this past year.
I was able to go watch Devin and Donovan Duvernay play at the University of Texas. I also watch Jared Mayden compete for the University of Alabama.
It was great to see students I worked with shine on the big stage with 90,000+ people watching them play.
Find a teacher who does not just roll the ball out and give random drills. Focus on getting someone who genuinely wants to take interest in you as an athlete and will tailor their mission towards your success.
