I am a guitar instructor with 40+ years of playing/teaching experience. I possess a thorough knowledge of the instrument. Focus on proper technique for all students, regardless of his/her playing ability. Once proper technique is established, I utilize the Berklee method as a basis for instruction. These volumes are supplemented by exercises, which I write specifically for the particular student’s needs. As the student progresses, I incorporate tunes that the student wishes to learn into the lesson plan. I teach ages 10 and up - all skill levels. In addition to guitar, I also teach theory, composition, arrangement and film scoring Education 1975-1978 Berklee College of Music, Boston MA Majored in composition & arranging. 1979-1981 Houston Baptist University Majored in composition 1982-1984 University of Houston Additional music history & advanced theory study

I like for the student to set their goals. I will, of course, offer a planned cirriculum if the student so desires.
I can teach basic techniques, reading music, composition, arranging, song writing and more.
It comes down to the student. Their desires come first, and I will accomodate them.
