The Academie Musique of Central Texas, a non-profit music school, seeks to provide high quality,  reasonably priced music programs for students of all ages from the surrounding communities.  We are housed at Temple College in the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center.

Depending on teacher availability, instruction is provided in: violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, flute, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, percussion and piano. Voice lessons are offered for students ages 12 and up. String and choral ensembles are offered weekly as well.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I have an initial visit with the student and/or parents to evaluate interest, prior music education, personal goals, quality of instrument they have.  The student should be prepared to play a selection or piece for me so l can ascertain their skill level.  

Initially I introduce or review holding positions, left and right hand alignment.  

Review of music fundamentals.
