Music Made Simple
About
We are an in-home music team. Our biggest goal is to support you. We understand that it can be tough traveling to a center after a long day of work or school. So, we want to make your desire for music easily obtainable.
Not only do we come to you, but we provide all learning material needed for the student.
We also offer a special program called the "Artist's Experience" where we teach our desiring students how to write songs, perform, and market themselves. We even set up performance opportunities, radio interviews, photoshoots, AND MORE!
We are strong believers that everyone should be able to have a life of music. That's why we became teachers. Whether you're just a beginner or an advanced student needing guidance, our passion is to explore music with you and get you to your goal.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our immediate goal is to see where you are in your music and then get a clear idea of where you want to be. So, depending on your level, during the first lesson we will go over some fundaments that we believe every musician should know and then we slowly expand on those until we reach the point where our student is challenged but not overwhelmed. Wherever that ends will usually be where homework for that week will begin. And we will continue this growth until we reach your goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our instructors have been teaching music for over 8 years. We have learned the art of meeting our students where they are and understanding most learning capasities.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Because we are an in-home lessons company, our tuition is based off of your location. However, typically our tuition is $120.00 per month. This tuition is a fixed rate. This means that your tuition will not increase if there is an extra week in that month.
How did you get started teaching?
We actually started teaching by contracting with other companies. We have worked with a few companies and many families and have learned what Houstonian parents and students are in need of for their music instructor.
What types of students have you worked with?
We have students from the age 2 all the way up to adults in their 60s. We love igniting the music passion is ALL musicians. We are big believers in starting your kiddos early as well as "it's never too late to follow your dreams."
We also have teachers that have worked with kids with Autism and learning disabilities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We have an 11 year old student that is currently involved in the Artist's Experience that has already been booked for 3 paid shows this year (so far) one including a performance scheduled in Atlanta, GA. Our business wants to help take you the distance (if that is something you desire).
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always follow your heart. MMS offers a FREE trial lesson and the reason we do this is for the parent and the student to get a good feel of their potential teacher. We want you to feel completely comfortable and excited about working with our instructors. And if you end the trial feeling like it may not be a good fit between the student and teacher you have not lost anything.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
We would say to really ask yourself what your goals are. Some teachers and company tend to just start you on a curriculum without understanding where your destination is. This can harmful because if your student's desires aren't being filled (even a little at a time) they can easily get discouraged and not want to continue. And we learning music to be a positive experience.
