The goal of this class is to teach the students the fundamentals of Rhythm, scales, chords ,music theory , chord Melody, notation and improvisation. The use of Call and response is used in order to teach the student new rhythms and scales by repetition. We will practice scales and learn how they relate to chords. Additionally, chord progressions will be explored that will explain to the student the theory of composition and improvisation on guitar.
This class would be an excellent foundation or addition for any student of any age or any level of experience as it will sharpen the student's ability to play in various rhythms and in any key signature as well as exploring Jazz Theory, Jazz chords, finger-picking styles ,and the creative use of improvisation in all of the styles, including blues. I will challenge even the most advanced students reach from the best potential possible.
My experience stems from a 15 to 20 years of playing music professionally, teaching music in with nonprofit organizations and independently. Creating music is the foundation of what I do and being a part of various recording projects and compositional experience. I love to create music that is original and one thing that stands out about my class is the use of alternative frequencies, and having lots of fun creating music that's original, Innovative and refreshing to the ears. you will not be disappointed taking a class for me because you will learn, evolve and it will be an unforgettable fun experience.
