About this pro

Being passionate musicians and singers, our desire is to impact men and women, young and old, regardless of their background, culture, religion, denomination, race, gender or color with this God given musical gift. Anybody can learn music. Our ultimate goal is to Enhance Quality Music, Psalm 33:3. Our faculty has been in the music industry professionally for over 100 years combined, played and taught music across Africa, Europe and now America. We bring to our students diversity; Jazz, Pop, Gospel, Contemporary, R&B, Traditional and Urban Hymns, Rock, Classical, Musical Theatre, Opera, Country etc. We also teach Dance, Fine Arts and Theory of Music, and also how to play by ear. After learning, we create opportunities where one can continue using their gift/talent to sharpen it. You can also find some of our work on Facebook: @solacemusicschool and YouTube.

I take pride in passing on the knowledge I have to others who will use it for a life time to generate income or just as a hobby.

The teacher I've hired is Emmanuel. He's very knowledgeable and professional. He tailors the lesson specifically for you, how you learn, and is always encouraging and uplifting. I myself am a little slower at learning but he doesn't make me feel embarrassed, or intimidated instead If I don't get something he explains it in a way that I understand in a positive way and rejoices in every accomplishment. So I always leave knowing what I've been taught and feel confident. You will not find quality and knowledge like they offer here anywhere else with the prices they offer. Do Not miss this great opportunity. I definitely recommend Solace Music School! πŸŽΌπŸŽ΅πŸŽΈπŸŽΉπŸŽ™οΈπŸŽΆπŸ™ŒπŸ˜€ Also to the students it is our job to practice what our teacher teaches us, and if we truly don't get something speak up. ☺️ If we don't practice everyday we will see small improvements if any, but if we practice everyday we will learn much more and progress at a faster pace. However I also know that with the right teacher you can and will accomplish and progress so much more and faster than other teachers. I'm glad I found Solace Music School! I'm sure you will be glad too. :)

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Get to know a little about them, what drives them to learn the instrument they want to learn, know if they have any knowledge of the instrument to be learnt, how they are going to use their new skill, excite them about the new instrument they are about to take and simply make it fun.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Diploma in Music (Piano).

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Reg. Fee = $15.00 (One time)

60 Min lesson = $40.00

45 Min lesson = $35.00

30 Min lesson = $30.00

How did you get started teaching?

It just started as a hobby teaching my fellow Youth members in church. Gradually, I realized I could make a living out of it after I saw them putting in practice what I taught them and even get involved in other bands.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with all kinds of students from all walks of life. Asians, Africans, Americans, Hispanic etc as young as 5 year olds to 70+ year olds.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

My recent event I'm fond of and still do every week is leading a multi-cultural band where we sing and play songs from across the globe.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Look out for a teacher that offers what you really need to achieve musically.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

How long will it take me to start playing with confidence?

How long should I practice and how many times a week?
