Amber Moore Voice And Piano Lessons

I graduated from Mercer University in Macon, Ga December 2014 with a Bachelors in Music Education. I have been singing since I was 3 years old, and playing piano since I was 5. I worked on my vocal and piano skills at Mercer from Fall of 2010 to Fall of 2014. I have participated in several productions (both musical and opera), I have traveled and sang all over the Southeast with the Mercer Singers, and I have had the pleasure of accompanying students in shows/competitions and playing for churches. After I got married, January 2015, I began teaching both vocal and piano students ranging from beginner to advanced at Playground Music Center in Fort Walton Beach, FL. I taught piano from ages 4 - 63 and voice from ages 7 - 16. My teaching style is very much driven by focusing on music theory and building the basics. I was taught in the classical style but I can teach jazz, Broadway, Gospel, and contemporary. I make it my goal to connect with the student on a personable level to shape the lessons that will best benefit their learning style and to help them truly love music as much as I do. I believe that no two students should be taught the same way and understand that each student will move at their own pace. I will require at least 2 to 3 books to be purchased: one music theory book, one lesson book, and possibly one performance book (books will all depend on what will benefit the student). However, the students are more than encouraged to bring whatever songs they are dying to learn and can always choose from my collection of music I have obtained over the years. I try to make each lesson as fun as possible and truly enjoy teaching one-on-one!
