Madi’s Piano Studio

I am a classically and formally trained pianist, who has been playing for 13 years. I have studied under Julliard-trained Dr. Roosevelt Newson, Dr. Ilonka Rus-Edery, and am currently studying under Dr. Ara Koh at University of the Incarnate Word in San Anonio, Texas. I am pursuing my degree in Music Therapy currently.

My teaching goal is to tailor lessons to the individual’s needs. Students will learn to read music, sightread, learn music theory, aural skills, and lots of repertoire. Students will be assigned repertoire out of methods books along with music they are personally interested in. Other services offered are lessons in self accompaniment, accompaniment, performance, singing while playing, and composition.

Music is and always will be the thing I am most passionate about. I love being able to share it with people, whether they share the “passion” aspect or just want to learn. Music is so beneficial to each and every person in so many ways, and I love being able to use my years of experience to share that benefit with somebody else.
