About
I do not teach specific techniques or a martial art. Self defense is about survival, not being fancy
I teach REALITY based self defense. This is Force-on-Force training with a padded partner(myself) to provide a realistic response-training that is second to none.
I will teach 1-on-1 and virtually any size group. I teach personal self-protection as well as Home Defense, Active Shooter Response, as well as Office /Work Safety Response.
You will feel more confident in your ability and safer in one lesson or I will refund your money. Guaranteed results.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Initially we will decide what your goals and concerns are. Figuring out what you want to accomplish with this training will help me to ascertain how in-depth we will need to go.
Ongoing lessons can be available depending on your goals and how you'd like to maintain and train these skills moving forward.
I can work with any location. Public parks, backyards, community centers. There is no space I cannot work with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a lifelong martial artist. However, I do not teach an art or techniques that you will inevitably forget in the heat of the moment. I was introduced to reality based self defense many years ago and immediately understood what my karate training had been lacking. What I teach is a combination of my entire life's training devoted to personal safety and how to effectively deal with violence.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I generally work out a flat fee per lesson but most of the time I charge 75$ for a 90 minute lesson for two people. (Having a buddy means you have a training partner right away)
How did you get started teaching?
I have been teaching Karate and Self Defense concepts for over 30 years.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages, businesses, families, medical and psychiatric offices, even athletes who simply want fear management training.
