Since 1989 we have helped hundreds of students begin and continue on their musical journey. We are the largest school of music in East Texas, offering private lessons in all popular instruments, as well as voice. We know you are busy and it can be very hard to find a reliable music teacher. That's why we go above and beyond to find the BEST music teachers in East Texas -- so you don't have to!
All our teachers have had many years of lessons behind them, most are in a band and are performing around town. One is in the TISD school system as a music teacher. We have many different varieties of teachers some with 30 plus years of experience, some with their degree in music. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level.

We do not treat every student the same in terms of what and how we teach. We teach all styles from rock, pop, jazz, country, blues and classical.
Tyler Music Academy does not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student here is on a month to month basis.

Our staff consists of experienced music teachers, capable of teaching all ages and levels. We constantly renovate and improve our facilities as well as provide on-going support to our instructors to ensure we are always providing our students and parents with the best possible musical experience.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We do not treat every student the same in terms of what and how we teach. If you enroll here for lessons, we will work with you to make a plan that will fit needs and musical preferences of the student. At the first lesson your the teacher will ask about the student's favorite type of music, and set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations the student has.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our music lessons are 30 minutes once a week for $99 a month. We offer lessons Monday thru Thursday 2:30 to 8pm and Saturday 10 to 2pm. With an exception to Banjo lessons, Banjo is $150 a month.

All our music teachers have had an extensive background check for the safety of our students! We have 10 music teachers, all with either college training or professional performance experience. 2:30 to 8p.m. Monday - Thursday
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

Parents can sit in our comfortable lobby and watch your child on our video monitor screen Or if you prefer you can sit in on their lesson anytime you like. We love our parents and offer; kids toys, Wi-Fi and magazines.
6. Fully stocked music rooms
Our rooms are stocked with everything you need for music lessons, including amps, full drum kits with pads, keyboards, and more. All you need to bring is your instrument. We have glass doors on all our lesson rooms for the safety of all.
7. Free music jams for all our students in a warm atmosphere!
Lights, Camera, Action... Our jams are held on a stage with amazing lighting and the state of the art sound system! Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a jam! Our Jam's are held in May and December each year!
For our students these recitals are free and unlike many schools in Texas we do not charge recital participation or admission fees.
Many music studio desks are staffed by the teacher or more commonly an answering machine. We have a customer service professional available at the front desk to assist our clients quickly and professionally during registration hours.

9. Award wristbands, Pick necklaces and Certificates to celebrate achievement.
We are the only lesson Studio in Tyler, TX that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets with charms (kids and teens love them!), pick necklaces AND certificates for playing their first song! Do other schools offer gifts and certificates? NO! You can not purchase these gifts, You can only earn them! This motivates the students to continue to practice!

Due to our location we easily service Tyler and Whitehouse! Our School is 1 mile outside of the loop in a great shopping center! Drop your kid off and walk down to local consignment shop, chiropractor, or get your nails down at the local salon! Just 2 minutes away from Super One and Walmart!

12. Repairs and Restrings
If your instrument needs a restring or a repair we do all these in house! We offer strings that are easy on the hands and stay in tune! Each Student will have a lesson on how to restring their own guitar!
