I'm here to share holistic tools that allow us to restore our innate healthy state. This can be simply done by health/wellness coaching to develop new daily habits, moving the body through a blend of yoga & fitness, and connecting to our power source through mindfulness & meditation. True health encompasses all these various avenues, but we can definitely start out with one first :).
I teach an accessible style of vinyasa and hatha yoga specializing in safe & effective alignment and techniques to adapt the practice to your current abilities. We can also mix in fitness movements if preferred to enhance conditioning and strength. Meditation/mindfulness is a big part of yoga that I practice daily and would love to share it. My approach to teaching is being in tune with your body and engineering it from inside to out. In our sessions, I’ll encourage you to find your inner teacher as you observe what you need in the moment. We will honor whatever it may be – pushing towards your edge in a challenging pose or restoring the body for deep relaxation and healing. I’m here only to serve as a guide for you in finding your fullest expression.
COLLIN, PE, CPT, RYT 200, grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii. In 2008, he migrated to Bellevue, WA where he currently resides as a transportation engineer, personal trainer, and yoga instructor. As an athlete in basketball and baseball, he’s always been passionate about movement and became a certified personal trainer. Collin has always took a strong interest in eastern world philosophies and particularly martial arts. With training in karate, muy-thai, and tai-chi, he has integrated his teachings from the east and west. He then discovered yoga and shortly after taking his first class in 2018, he attended 4 weekend long workshops in meditation and traditional hatha yoga through the Isha Foundation and completed his 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher certification at Shakti Vinyasa Yoga.
While he has a career in transportation with emphasis on safety and protecting the environment, his true calling is sharing tools & techniques for optimal well being. His background in engineering has allowed him to be highly attuned to detail, safe alignment, and creative expression in each unique body.
He currently teaches at Hot Yoga Inc., LA Fitness, & Jacobs Engineering in downtown Bellevue and also teaches private one-on-one & group classes. His power/vinyasa, hatha, and sculpt classes are accessible, fun, and empowering.
Inspiring others to get moving, reach their greatest potentials in all aspects of the mind-body-spirit, and most importantly have more joy, gratitude, and love in their life.
I never was a person who like to work out 🏋️♀️ I never understood it either but when I met Collin I told him if you can change my mind and make me work out I think you will be a master since I never committed to any practice before. His wisdom is amazing, first he learned about me then he started helping me understand why I should do yoga 🧘♀️ and taking care of my body should be my first priority with yoga/meditation, a balanced diet, as well as the importance of movement and breath and connecting all as one powerful practice that I should achieve each day no matter what happened. He taught me how to balance and harmonize my day by start each morning with breath and meditation. He is authentic as he practices every single day what he preaches and for me authenticity is everything. I highly recommend him to help you commit to a life changing yoga and meditation practice. He inspired me to become a yoga teacher as well.
Collin is awesome !!! Now, I’m no spring chicken, every muscle in me is tight from letting myself go. Heard about Collin from a friend, a new kid on the block. Best decision I ever made. Had several sessions already, taking it slow and easy. He is just spot on. Never thought I would look forward to working out.
